Y2K Bugged Out

Just waiting to sync its byte in

and just a few digits away

Seeking a place in history

On our first millennium day

We can not compute its damage

Thus it brings an unknown fear

we can only wait for it to launch

as we celebrate the new year

It may cause some to download

their new worries to their shrink

Afraid of what they call y2k bug

that will make computers blink

processing time for its damage

is one that is unparalleled

will its effects be quickly deleted

with software soon unveiled

Sitting back waiting for a prompt

in a mouse trap that has us caught

In a world partitioned around PC’s

we have become victims by default
