The Graduate

The Graduate

On a journey seeking a diploma

A quest of many years

The graduate seeks steadfast

A treasure to revere

Visually and audibly absorbing

Information along the way

Expanding their capacities

To stockpile or display

Many sacrifices were made

Resources and time

But a task was before them

A mountain to climb

Thoughts of them relenting

Had to be cast aside

Squelched by determination

And a sense of pride

Marching to a tune of victory

Receiving their accolade

They recognize the true reward

Is what of them it made
