Restore My Peace

Lord help me not be bitter,

at work of the adversary;

Take away my resentment,

built up inside of me.

Hang on the cross frustrations,

Creating a stronghold;

I am weighed down with pity,

shading views of gold.

Keep me from being overwhelmed,

As Satan challenges truth;

He causes doubts and uncertainty,

insisting on more proof.

Help me live my life day by day,

smaller segments if need be;

Let me vent my anger in prayer,

so it won’t bottle up in me.

Comfort my heart Holy Spirit,

help these thoughts to cease;

Help me ride out this storm,

As you restore my peace...
