Marriage Is A Wonderful Thing
Marriage is a Wonderful thing
As for those who have been there
I am preaching to the choir
And if you’ve never tied the knot
you can’t prove me a liar
Marriage is a lot of hard work
sometimes it can be a chore
It is hard blending differences
or at times it may be a bore
Words that are either said or not
inflict an equal amount of pain
Outlooks can begin to look bleak
after battles have placed a strain
But life itself has ups and downs
there are many shades of blue
Don’t rush to label it a mistake
give it time and see it through
Remember commitment to your word
that was for better of for worse
If you want the perfect time to leave
don’t grab a cab wait on a hearse
Even love that has been quenched
can rekindle in the twinkle of an eye
Anything can make it possible
as long as both are willing to try
Many times the reasons marriages fail
are little things are no longer done
Those things that drew two together
when they both had the most fun
Marriage can be wonderful blessing
one that nothing can compare
You can not prove me to be a liar
Even if you have been there
