Knight in Shining Armor
Knight in Shining Armor
There is a knight in shining armor,
who serves his master bold;
He speaks highly of his king,
and serves him not for gold.
He dons on his coat of armor,
his helmet protects from harm;
He carries his sword at his side,
A breastplate keeps him warm.
This knight seeks not power,
nor does he search for fame;
For the only glory he is after,
is to magnify the kings name.
He marches only to sound,
of the kings voice alone;
His king eternally will reign,
looking down from His throne.
The knight’s must battle the dragon,
when it lashes out an attack,
The warrior fights with all his might,
but lands flat on his back.
The knight begins to lose his focus,
He has battled the dragon at length;
It is at this point that he realizes,
he fought in his own strength.
So he called upon the king on high,
only the king alone could save,
His knight in shining armor,
rescued from the grave.
When the knight cried out to the king,
the dragon left the scene of the fight;
To search out another weary warrior,
leading others to the king to knight.
Though he wears battles scars of life,
The knight has learned one thing;
The dragon can never defeat him,
because he belongs to the king.
