Everlasting Love

Love is more than words we say

More than what we do

A culmination of many things

Boiled down to a few

Sharing time with each other

Yet yielding space to breathe

Missing them when apart

Soon after they leave

Hurdling obstacles in the way

From temptation run

Forgiving when needed

Restore the two to one

Following the heart and soul

Is a good place to begin

The key may be compromise

sometimes giving in

Committed too forever

The course they did plan

Time makes them stronger

than when they began
