Earth's view

Birds purse their beaks to sing

Skies hastily start to blue

Crickets prickly legs silence

Whippoorwills subdue

Butterflies launch into the air

Roosters prepare to crow

Bats swoop to a hiding place

Rodents move below

Dew slides down grass blades

Squirrels scurry from a nest

Owls hold back their hoots

Nocturnal predators rest

Children play with synergy

Pets roll in the grass

Lightning bugs disappear

Waiting time to pass

The last grains of sand fall

A new shift does begin

As the hourglass topples

Earth blinks again
