Commitment to Marriage
Marriage can be hard work
At times even a chore
A blending of differences
To some even a bore
Words either said or not
Equally inflict pain
Outlooks can become bleak
battles create strain
But life itself has ups and downs
many shades of blue
Don’t rush to label it a mistake
Wait and see it through
Remember commitment to the words
for better of for worse
By design the ideal time to leave is
chauffeured in a hearse
Even love which has been quenched
can rekindle to draw nigh
Anything can become possible
If both will only try
Many times reasons marriages fail
are little things no longer done
Things, which drew them together
both were having fun
Marriage can be a wonderful joy
which nothing can compare
If two hold on to their promise
To make the journey there
