Anxiety
There is no greater potpourri
than emotions creating anxiety
Stemming from anger or fear
Yesterday or yester year
When Anxiety charges up adrenaline
The stomach churns like margarine
Preparing the body to fight or flee
Resisting increases intensity
The constant wear of it takes toll
Badgering mind, heart, and soul
Events can turn tide either way
Circumstances of the day
Worry is an antidote that will set in
Pretending to soothe once again
It serves as a compulsive ritual
until becoming habitual
The exhaustion from nervous energy
prohibits from living peacefully
Relaxation will come in its own time
As anxiety exits scene of crime
